BUDDING athletes inspired by Duncan Scott’s success at the Gold Coast can jump in the pool next week and try a coached session with a Wee County club.

Alloa Amateur Swimming Club (AASC) is holding an open night next Monday, May 28 at the Leisure Bowl.

The event will take place between 6.30pm and 7.15pm and a coach will be on hand to lead a session in the pool.

Meanwhile, parents and carers will have the chance to find out what the club has to offer.

AASC is a competitive team, encouraging members to obtain qualifications in coaching and attend other sport related courses to improve themselves and the club.

The voluntary and not-for-profit organisation is managed by a committee of parents and coaches.

Members swim at the Leisure Bowl and also at Tulliallan Police College.

There is a squad for all levels and the general aim is to develop young athletes, teaching them valuable life skills.
