Overnight from Saturday April 20 into Sunday April 21, wheely bins were set on fire in Birkhill Road and St Ninians Road, Cambusbarron. No one was injured.

On Monday April 22, a recycling bin was set on fire in the common closeways at Anderson Place and Torbrex Road, Stirling.

No-one was seriously injured in any of these incidents. Police are treating the fires as suspicious and are keen to speak to anyone who was in these areas around these times.

Sergeant Wilson Tasker said: "I urge anyone that has any information regarding these incidents, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to contact the police.

"We were lucky that none of these fires resulted in serious injury and damage to property. I encourage local residents not to leave wheely bins/recycling bins in unprotected areas where possible."
