Plean’s KeyStore recently took up the responsibility of providing a Post Office service in the Stirlingshire village.

The Main Street convenience store, which is popular with locals, just became even more convenient after management opened their new service. The move is not only a great business opportunity, owners say they are happy to provide the much needed service to locals as the original, Crown Post Office is preparing to shut its doors.

The News visited the shop on the Post Office’s opening day last week. Store manager Shahzad Anjum said: “We are excited to increase business and choices for our customers.

“The [original] Post Office is going to shut down and if I don’t take up the service, there would be no Post Office in Plean any more – we are hoping to help the local community.” The new, in-store Post Office will provide almost exactly the same service as the old one with some restrictions on cheques.

KeyStore is open seven days a week and provides a large scale of products and services with competitive prices.
