A MAN and his dog were killed following an early-morning fire in Falkirk this week.
Six fire engines were sent to the property on David's Loan in the Bainsford area of the town at about 4:30am on Saturday.
The road was closed between Main Street and Langlees Street.
It is believed the deceased was Paul Neish and was said to have lived for his dog Cassie.
Officers are not treating the cause of the blaze as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A joint investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding this fire.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
