Raymond Blanc has voiced his respect for bruised Prime Minster Theresa May following the vote on her Brexit deal.
The Michelin-starred French chef has branded Brexit an impossible task and praised Mrs May for attempting to tackle it.
He has also accused other “opportunists” of doing little to practically deal with the issue of leaving the European Union.
Writing on Twitter, the famed restaurateur said: “I have a huge respect for the Prime Minister Theresa May. She was given an impossible task that she tried best to honour.
“It is always fascinating to observe the opportunists bringing their words of wisdom …and no solution to Brexit.”
Mrs May’s deal was rejected by a vote of 432 to 202 by MPs, and a vote of no confidence in her government was tabled by opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn.
