THE ROTARY Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane have raised £4,500 for CHAS following the annual duck race at the fling.

Funds will go towards helping the charity as they place an emphasis on reaching every family in Scotland in need of support.

A commissioned survey had previously shown that approximately 2,200 families were in need of some direct assistance because of the deteriorating health of their child.

At present current provisional can only meet about one-third of this need and, as a result, steps have been put in place to implement a development plan from 2017 to 2020, which will look to address the situation.

The current provision of the organisation's two hospices – Rachel House at Kinross and Robin House at Balloch – will increase, and there will be a major uplift in the support being given across the country by the CHAS at Home teams that provide local home care services.
