PARENTS keen to get their children interested in reading can head along to The PEAK to take part in Bookbug Sessions.
Aimed at children aged 0-5, Bookbugs allow families to spend time bonding with each other and meeting new people in the area.
Children can interact with one another to build social skills and support speech and development. The sessions feature familiar songs, rhymes and storytelling designed to get children engaged with reading.
Gary Mackintosh, programme and development manager at Active Stirling, said: “It’s a great opportunity for us to have our first ever Bookbug Session at The PEAK.
“We encourage learning through fun games and activities and children who come along to this session will be able to listen to some stories, sing songs and take part in some of our activities.”
The next Bookbug Session will take place at The PEAK, Stirling Sports Village, on Friday, March 24 from 12.15pm-12.45pm.
Parents can register for the event by buying a ticket from Eventbrite. Tickets are open from Monday, March 6.
