GOLFERS in Forth Valley can experience some of the world’s most iconic landmarks and monuments this summer thanks to a mini golf course.

Around the World is a mini golf course that opened in Thistles shopping centre in Stirling on Monday, July 4.

The free nine-hole mini golf course is open every day from 12pm until 4pm until July 31 and promises friends, families and competitive couples four fun-filled weeks to compete against one another and stage their very own mini golf championship.

The immersive course consists of nine holes set around iconic landmarks across the world such as Big Ben, The Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Tower.

Continuing its efforts to support the local community through its #ThistlesHelps campaign, Thistles has also partnered with Scottish Sports Futures to raise money for the national charity through donations during the free event.

Founded in Glasgow, Scottish Sports Futures works with communities across the country to offer a range of activities and workshops to vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and families, empowering them to be confident, healthy, and happy.

With a base in Stirling, as well as other regions across the country, the charity supports local young people aged between 11 and 15 years old.

Gary Turnbull, centre director at Thistles, said: “This is the first event of its kind at the centre and we’re really pleased to be able to offer something so different and engaging completely free of charge to the public during the summer holidays.

“Throughout the year we have had a great focus on our #ThistlesHelps campaign, supporting charities that have a great impact on the local area and we are delighted to be partnering with Scottish Sports Futures for this event.”
