A STIRLING woman is set to appear on a top cookery TV contest tonight.

Cleaning business owner Lisa will be cooking up a storm on MasterChef as it returns for an 18th series on BBC One from 8pm on Wednesday, March 23.

She will be one of 45 passionate and talented hopefuls to start the competition and will be bringing her classical cooking skills to the table.

The 39-year-old likes cooking hearty dishes but elevates them to a fine dining level.

Originally from Stirling but now living a quieter life in Killearn with wife Rachel and their four children, she loves cooking with game, taking inspiration from amazing Scottish produce.

Lisa will be looking for a confidence boost and validation of her cooking skills, hoping to make her wife and children proud.

Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace will be mixing it up this year to introduce a whole new set of challenges.

Each week for five weeks, nine home cooks will arrive with dreams and ingredients to make their debut in the audition round with a standout signature dish to earn themselves a coveted MasterChef apron.

However, the judges will not witness the process in the kitchen as they will be served each dish in the new tasting room, judging solely on the plate in front of them.
