AN AMBULANCE was called after a man was reportedly assaulted in Dunfermline town centre last night (Monday).
The incident triggered an emergency response as officers attended Kirkgate, near Dunfermline City Chambers, at around 8.45pm.
The man was treated at the scene by ambulance but he did not need to attend hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Monday, September 27, officers were called to a report of a man assaulted in Kirkgate, Dunfermline.
"He was treated at the scene by ambulance.
"Police enquiries are ongoing."
