A LOCAL businessman is saying thanks to those who worked during the worst of the pandemic by offering them a free boat trip.

Ronnie Doolan, who runs Clyde Charters, will be offering trips to the MV Captayannis on Wednesday for NHS, emergency services and front line workers.

The free trips will operate hourly from James Watt Dock Marina starting at 11am.

Ronnie said: "We ask that only those who deserve a free trip should book spaces for themselves and their work colleagues, it's not fair if a worker makes a group booking for them and their family!

"Please book with your work colleagues and if there are any spaces still available on Tuesday evening we will post on our page that you can bring a friend or family member to fill the spaces."

To book your space, please visit the James Watt Dock Marina reception today or tomorrow after 10am and show your ID badge to the receptionist.

Whilst the trips will be free, the team are hoping to raise funds for the RNLI and will be accepting cash donations on the day.
