POLICE launched a frantic search along the side of the A92 in Cowdenbeath last night after a person was reported missing.
There was a heavy police presence at the side of the A92 between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly, with paramedics and a police helicopter involved in the search, which took place at around 7pm on Thursday night.
One lane of the eastbound road was closed while police searched wooded area.
Police Scotland confirmed to the Times last night that the person had been traced safe and well.
