Alloa First

It’s the time of year when elves begin to get very busy watching over kids and creating mischief. We’ve all heard of elf of the shelf, but now the mischievous elves are creating havoc in Alloa’s town centre.

Local residents can help by joining the Christmas trail and spotting all the elves in retailers throughout the town. A prize draw has been launched for those lucky enough to spot all 30 elves.

Children and adults alike are being encouraged to spot the figures in all 30 store shop windows and complete the form to be entered into a draw and win a special prize.

Alloa First, the town’s business improvement district organisation, kick-started the initiative to heighten the festive buzz around the town centre and its shops and businesses.

The festive trail is the latest method from the group who hope the initiative will help to increase local footfall this Christmas and remind residents to explore their town centre’s and shop local.

Stirling News:

The elves are also useful in helping shoppers stop and pause to look in a shop window they may have otherwise passed by and missed before. Perhaps you may have forgot about some of the unique and independent stores in Alloa’s town centre and the little elves will help encourage shoppers to browse a selection of goods on offer in store windows. Shoppers are being reminded to catch the gang of “naughty elves” hanging around in shop windows.

People are urged to “catch them on the double, to stop them from causing even more trouble”.

Those taking part can complete forms once they found all of the elves for a chance to win a hamper of family goodies with two additional runners up prizes also up for grabs.

Completed forms can be returned to a special Santa’s Christmas post box, which is located at the top of the High Street at the Performance Space beside the Christmas Tree.

The draw will take place on Monday, December 21.

Shoppers can visit alloafirst.co.uk for more information and to download forms.
