A DRIVE through Christmas market is set to raise much needed restoration funds at historic Bannockburn House.

The no-contact event will take place on Saturday, December 12, raising money for community projects and restoration work.

People heading along will be allocated morning or afternoon time slots to pick up festive goodies by car.

If Level 4 restrictions remain in place across Stirling, orders will be delivered instead.

Ross Caldwell, events manager at Bannockburn House, said: “Our Christmas Fair is normally one of our most successful fundraising events and is eagerly anticipated by the local community.

“While it can’t go ahead as normal this year due to Covid-19, we wanted to do something to mark the festive period and spread some Christmas cheer whilst keeping everyone safe.

“Our volunteers will be busy baking Christmas cakes, making log reindeer and wreaths.

“We’ll also be selling kits for our online festive wreath making workshop for those who would like to make their own.”

All items must be pre-ordered and paid for with a contactless card at pick up.

Free delivery will also be available to residents in the area who have no access to a car, or to all customers if restrictions are extended beyond December 11.
