A FAIRY trail has opened at Blair Drummond Safari Park near Stirling.

Hidden in a little area of woodland at the centre of the safari park, the thick trees and forest floor have been brought to life with the addition of dozens of handmade fairy houses, tiny fairy doors, magical keys and a toadstool circle.

Decorated with over 1,000 twinkling lights, the new fairy village provides a slice of enchantment this winter.

Liz Gunn, head of marketing at Blair Drummond Safari Park, said: “With creative input from Lisa Davidson at Tinkerbells Emporium in Stirling, we’ve been able to create something really quite magical.

"It’s a short route that has been specially designed for little legs.

"Our younger visitors love the new fairy trail and we’ve received lots of nice feedback from local families.”

Elphyne – The land of the fairies will be open for visitors until the Safari Park closes for the season on the December 20. Entry is included in the price of admission.
