A PLEA for people to stop climbing on the Kelpies has been issued by police following reports of a man scaling one of structures earlier this week.
Forth Valley Police Division confirmed it received a report of a male scaling one of the two thirty-metre-high Grangemouth sculptures at 3.45pm on Tuesday, November 3.
A spokesperson said: “We were contacted by a member of the public who observed a male climbing on the nose of one of the Kelpies.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to trace any persons on our attendance.
“We want to appeal to any persons attempting this reckless act, to consider not only the risk to their own lives but to the impact on traffic on the M9 and the potential for significant incidents on that road.
“If you have witnessed or have any footage of this incident, please contact us on 101, quoting incident 2062 of November 3.”
