THE medical practice in Tillicoultry this week said some residents have not received letters regarding flu vaccinations.

In an update, a statement from the practice said: "Due to an issue entirely out with our control we have just been informed this evening that some of our patients, over 65 or under 65 in an at risk category, will not have received flu letters."

People were then advised that they can still attend Alloa Town Hall to be vaccinated on Tuesday, October 27.

Those who could not attend are asked to email fv.adultflu@nhs.scot or telephone 01324 614692 or 01324 616050 to receive another appointment.

The medical practice added: "If you know someone who should have been vaccinated and has not received a letter, could you please pass this information on to them?"

A similar issue was raised in Dollar last week, as reported at the time, when staff booked flu jabs for 1,500 patients who did not receive their letter in the post.

At the time NHS Forth Valley said the issue had arisen through the national flu system which issues appointment letters.
