MILLER Homes is supporting Dunblane Cricket Club to make the sport accessible to the whole community with a £500 donation towards a new pitch.
Development Sales Manager Kristi Brimer was joined by the club's own Alan Robertson, and all the players, at Miller Homes’ new Victoria Park ‘Rossie’ showhome, as they shared plans for the project.
The club intends to develop the pitch at Laighills Park in Dunblane, with the hope that all children in the local community will be inspired to give it a try.
Alan Robertson, Secretary and Treasurer at Dunblane Cricket Club, said: “We are very thankful for this contribution from Miller Homes.
"Many of our players are ready to step up to Junior 1 cricket which requires proper facilities. This funding really helps us on our way to building the much-needed cricket pitch and making our goal a reality.”
Neil Gaffney, Sales and Marketing Director for Miller Homes, said: “Cricket is a popular community sport and we’re delighted to be able to help provide enhanced facilities for the younger generation of players.
"Dunblane already has such a wonderful sporting reputation so it’s exciting to see how the next generation of athletes will progress and flourish.”
