THE man who died in a road collision near Stirling at the weekend has been described as a “devoted husband” after police released his identity.
Tam Neil, a 52-year-old man from Denny, was killed in the early afternoon of Sunday following a collision between a white Volkswagen Golf car and a black Suzuki motorbike.
His heartbroken family released a statement through Police Scotland in which they describe him as a “devoted husband” and loving member of an extended family.
The statement read: "Tam Neil, devoted husband of Sharon Neil. Loving son, brother, stepdad, papa, uncle and father of two daughters, Jacqueline and Amanda. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
"We would ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time to allow us to come to terms with what has happened."
The incident happened around 1.05pm on Sunday, September 13, on Roman Road, Plean.
Sergeant David Ross, of Stirling Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family during this extremely difficult time.
“Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue and anyone with any information surrounding the incident is asked to contact police through 101, quoting incident number 1698 of Sunday, 13 September, 2020."
