VOLUNTEERS for a charity providing therapy services to Forth Valley residents have signed up for the Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend and need sponsors to support them.

The 21-strong team from Equi-Power will take on the event on Saturday (September 12), walking various distances in support of their organisation.

Some of the team will be walking 15 miles, and others will be covering five miles.

Most will be walking in Stirling, but some are as far afield as London.

The team of volunteers includes former Special Olympians, and those recovering from spinal injuries – all of whom are committed to supporting their chosen charity.

Equi-Power works with young people and adults with additional support needs and disabilities by providing equine therapy.

This involves spending time with horses, riding, vaulting, caring for the horses and also securing volunteering opportunities for those involved with the charity.

Equi-Power’s target is to raise £10,000 through this weekend’s event, and so far more than £7,500 has been raised.
