A CRASH in Stirling has left a woman in critical condition with serious injuries.

The incident happened at around 4.45pm on Sunday afternoon (August 30).

A 57-year-old woman was riding her Yamaha Virago motorbike on Pirnhall Stirling Services roundabout when it appears that the vehicle lost control and left the roadway near the junction for A872.

Emergency services attended and the injured woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she is being treated for her serious injuries. Hospital staff describe her condition as critical.

Sergeant David Marr from Stirling's Divisional Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of this crash and I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.

“This is a very busy roundabout next to the local motorway services, and I am urging any witnesses or anyone who was driving there around the time of the crash who has dash-cam footage to contact us.”
