A VOLUNTEER-LED photography festival has been shortlisted for an award.

Stirling Photography Festival has been named on the final list of seven in the 2020 Epic Awards.

Rab Fyfe, from the photography festival, said: “We're delighted to be up for an Epic Award.

“We have so many dedicated and hard-working volunteers to make Stirling Photography Festival what it is, and the shortlisting is a recognition of their time, effort and passion for our community.”

Over the past decade the Epic Awards, run by Voluntary Arts, has been seeking to support and promote participation in creative and cultural activities.

Jemma Neville, director of Voluntary Arts Scotland, added: “The groups on our 2020 shortlist not only make a huge difference in their own communities, but are shining examples of what can be achieved when volunteer effort and creativity come together.

“Picking a winner and runner-up will be no easy task for our judging panel, but we hope members of the public will join us in this endeavour by voting in the People’s Choice Award.”

Members of the public can vote in the People's Choice Award by visiting epicawards.co.uk before September 20.
