THIS weekend will see the return of Stirling Farmers' Market on Port Street.

A reduced number of stalls, to ensure social distancing, will welcome customers on Saturday, August 8, between 10am and 4pm.

The market is likely to remain smaller than usual for the foreseeable future in a bid to allow extra space for people to queue safely.

While the market will be smaller, it will also pop up more frequently, twice a month on the second and fourth Saturday to accommodate all the regular traders.

On offer this week will be Arbroath fish, award winning cheeses from Arran and Comrie, free range hens' and ducks eggs, fresh vegetables from Ayrshire, handmade sour dough breads and scones, Lebanese deli items, cakes and pastries as well as sausage rolls.

Winston Churchill Venison & Game will also be on hand with steaks, sausages and oven-ready pheasants alongside Cairn o’ Mohr with their array of fruit wines amd ciders as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
