EMERGENCY traffic management measures, put in place due to coronavirus, will continue in the Stirling area.

The temporary measures – including street closures, parking restrictions and speed limits – were put in place in Stirling's city centre and around Bridge of Allan on Monday, June 29.

They are aim to ensure people can observe social distancing and that pedestrians can safely access the shops re-opening for non-essential business.

Parking restrictions in Bridge of Allan have since been lifted following feedback from residents and businesses.

The measures were all to be in place until July 20, a second traffic order extending these to August 9.

Emergency Traffic Regulation Notices can stay in place for a maximum of 21 days and can only be extended once.

However, a new Covid-19 Public Safety Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be put in place from next week to continue these existing temporary measures for up to a period of 18 months.

In Stirling's city centre, there is an emergency road closure at Murray Place from its junction with Station Road to its junction with King Street.

Also on King Street from the Murray Place junction to The Steeple at the top of the street.

Parking is suspended adjacent to 18-28 King Street as well.

The speed limit is also in place on Maxwell Place and on Viewfield Street – both for the entire stretch.
