A man was attacked outside a popular roll shop this morning.
The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital after the assault which saw dozens of officers in Rutherglen.
Emergency services were raced to Greenhill Road around 7am on Monday.
Ruglen Rolls confirmed they were unable to open after police closed down the street to investigate the incident.

In a Facebook post this morning the takeaway shop wrote: "Unfortunately the shop won't be open today, there's an ongoing incident on the street and police have blocked the whole street off and told us we won't be opening today."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 7am on Monday, 3 August, officers were called to a report of a man injured on Greenhill Road, Rutherglen following an assault.
"Police and Ambulance attended and the 45 year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University hospital.
"Police enquiries are ongoing in the area to establish more information on this incident."
