YOUNG people in Stirling are being given the chance to see their artwork wrapped on the side of a local bus.

First Bus has launched a Scotland-wide art competition and the winning design will be put on buses for thousands to see.

The winner will also have the chance to tour Britain's largest bus depot in Glasgow.

There will be regional winners as well and a winner from Stirling will receive and exclusive goodie bag and a school visit from First Bus once back in after the summer.

Andrew Jarvis, managing director of First Bus in Scotland, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for local kids to celebrate their creative side during lockdown.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the winning design bring a splash of colour and imagination to one of our buses in Stirling, which we hope will bring a smile to the faces of key workers and local communities along our routes.

“We wanted to give something back to the city that we proudly serve every day and we can’t wait to look through all the entries.”

Young people are being encouraged to grab a sheet of paper along with some bold colours and work with their imagination.

Entrants can use any colour, patter or drawing they like.

Some great entries have already arrived with some illustrations championing NHS workers.

The deadline for submissions ins August 6 via the @FirstScotlandEast Facebook page.
