EDINBURGH will welcome The Slow Readers Club this October, as they reschedule their spring tour dates in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The band were forced to postpone their UK and European shows, including a gig at the Liquid Room on March 25.

Indeed, the four-piece were also due to play an intimate show at Edinburgh's Assai Records on the same day.

However, they have now set up a return date for October 23, with the rest of their shows across the UK confirmed.

A statement from the band read: "We realise that this is an awkward time to be announcing things, and a difficult time for a lot of people.

"But as so many of you were asking, and as we could all do with something positive to focus on for once all this has calmed down, here are our rescheduled dates for later this year.

"All tickets for March-April dates remain valid. EU dates are still being worked on and there’ll be an announcement in the near future, along with supports for all shows.

"Hope you can all make it and until then stay safe."
