STIRLING’s Macrobert Arts Centre has announced all live events have been postponed until next month as Covid-19 continues to spread through Forth Valley.

All film and event cinema screenings, classes and workshops have also been postponed until Sunday, April 12.

A statement from the centre said: “In light of the advice issued on Monday, March 16 by both the Scottish and UK Governments we have taken the difficult decision to suspend all live events, film and event cinema screenings as well as classes/workshops until Sunday, April 12.

“We recognise that this suspension is likely to be much longer and will update you as the situation becomes clearer.

“The health and safety of our audiences, artists, staff and all those who take part in our activities is our number one priority, in what is an unprecedented and uncertain situation for us all.

“We will be in touch with all of our tickets bookers in the coming days, but please bear with us as we manage a large number of customer queries.

“We appreciate the support we’ve received from customers and artists alike and will be working hard to bring you an exciting programme for later in the year, when we look forward to welcome you back to Macrobert Arts Centre.”
