Nelson with the West of Scotland Trophy and ex players David Grant and David Flynn
STIRLING based football team Bannockburn Amateurs welcomed a footballer from down under recently.
Nelson Chen plays for Bannockburn Rovers in Sydney, Australia, and recently embarked on a whistle stop tour of Scotland.
Back in Australia, Nelson is a medieval history student and sought out the original Bannockburn amateurs.
He stopped by in Bannockburn after driving from Inverness on his way to Edinburgh.
The committee presented Nelson with club merchandise including a 50th anniversary coin, club video, football strip and tie.
At the club’s spiritual home Nelson enjoyed a steak pie and the company of Amateurs supporters, including previous top scorers David Grant and David Flynn.
