SCOTLAND’S second nationwide Fair Saturday is coming to Stirling this St Andrew’s Day, with a series of events to raise funds to promote culture and the arts.

The global Fair Saturday movement began in Spain in 2014 and aims to have a positive impact on society by driving social empathy through the arts and culture. St Andrew’s Fair Saturday marks the start of Scotland's Winter Festivals, and will support the #OneKindAct campaign, which asks the people of Scotland to make someone’s day with an act of kindness.

This year’s St Andrew’s Fair Saturday includes over 120 events across Scotland, three in Stirling, each promoting fairness and sharing and fundraising for social causes.

Events include:

· 'Bannockburn House - Christmas Fayre' at Bannockburn House, Stirling, raising money for Bannockburn House Trust, for the restoration of the Historic House, 10:00am

· 'Rapunzel - A Hair Braiding Adventure!' at Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling, raising money for Macroberts Art Centre, 2:00pm

· 'Rapunzel - A Hair Braiding Adventure!' at Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling, raising money for Macroberts Art Centre, 7:30pm

With so many organisations getting on board this year, there is over 100 performances to look forward to. The full programme is now available on the St Andrew’s Fair Saturday website - standrews.fairsaturday.org/
