STIRLING gin fans can get their hands on a number of world-first flavours after a specialist emporium opened in the city.

Callander-based distiller, McQueen Gin, has opened its first store on Stirling’s high street, The McQueen Gin Emporium, investing £150,000 and creating four new full-time jobs.

Launched four years ago by husband and wife duo Dale and Vicky McQueen, the couple’s passion for innovation and creating experimental flavour combinations has helped secure contracts with some of the UK’s top retailers with their unique and adventurous flavours.

The McQueen Gin Emporium stocks the brand’s full range of adventurous gins, including five world-first flavours; Sweet Citrus, Mocha, Smokey Chilli, Chocolate Mint and Chocolate Orange.

After launching last Thursday evening, the store is now ready for business with a huge range available.

Owner of the brand, Vicky McQueen, said: “While some businesses are choosing to go online only, we’re confident about our move to the high-street.

“The McQueen Gin Emporium has been a significant investment for the company, but we believe it is important to invest in bricks and mortar experiences and are so pleased to now have a home on Stirling’s high street.

“The new store is the only place, apart from at the distillery, where our full range of gins is available buy.”

As well as the new store, a new 350 pallet capacity warehouse also opened on November 25 with a £2million visit centre investment planned for 2020.

Co-founder and managing director, Dale McQueen, said: “At McQueen, we’ve made it our mission to push the boundaries of the gin world; crafting distilled to be different spirits which adventurous gin drinkers will enjoy exploring as much as we enjoy crafting.

“For a relatively new distillery, we’ve got big plans to expand internationally, with a particular focus on the USA, where the gin market is several years behind where it is in the UK.”

The McQueen Gin Emporium is located at 18 Port Street, Stirling and open 7 days a week, 10am-5pm. For more information contact 01786 940011 or visit
