ONE of Scotland’s most exciting visitor attractions is offering families the opportunity for a very special Christmas day out this winter.

Blair Drummond Safari Park usually closes for the winter, but this year the popular attraction is re-opening its doors for a pantomime weekend with a difference.

The casts of Snow White and Cinderella will take to the stage at Blair Drummond Safari Park on December 14 and 15 for special showings.

The pantomimes will be performed by touring theatre company M&M productions and will take place inside the park’s spectacular Safari Marquee.

This is the second year that pantomimes will be held at the Safari Park and bosses are encouraging panto ticket holders to make the most of the unique setting and spend time visiting the Safari Park animals before and after the show.

Liz Gunn, the park’s marketing manager, explained why it is a good opportunity for the park.

She said: “We’re delighted to be reopening our doors for the pantomimes in December. These events give us the opportunity to showcase our fantastic new indoor venue space with a top quality show, and also allow access to parts of the safari park that would otherwise be closed at this time of the year.

“We’re certain that this must be one of the most exciting pantomime venues in Scotland and we’re looking forward to welcoming our visitors in December.”

Snow White will be performed at Blair Drummond Safari Park on Saturday, December 14 and Cinderella on Sunday, December 15.

Shows take place at 12:30pm and 2:30pm each day with tickets priced at £6 for members, £12 for adults and £10 for concessions, while there is no charge for infants.

The shows last for 70 minutes, and parts of the safari park will be open all day for ticket holders to visit the animals and enjoy the play areas.

Tickets can be bought from the safari park website at www.blairdrummond.com.
