VOLUNTEERS are needed to lead walks for new mums and their babies in Stirling.
Walks take place every week at various places as part of the Active Stirling buggy and bump walks programme.
It is to help participants improve their fitness while also serving as an opportunity to meet people and explore the surroundings.
Training will be provided for incoming volunteer walk leaders who can take inspiration from former midwife Susan Kennedy who found fresh energy in retirement by taking the role on.
She said: “I love volunteering as part of the Active Stirling buggy walk program.
“It gives structure to my week, meet new people and get out and about in the fresh air each week.
“And what’s not to like, getting fit surrounded by lovely mums and babies.”
Anyone interested should get in touch with Raija Darley, co-ordinator, via darleyr@activestirling.org.uk or visit activestirling.org.uk/buggywalks for more details.
