ACTIVE Stirling is set to launch a brand new pick-up basketball programme for female teenagers at The PEAK starting next week.
From October 1, the pick-up basketball programme at The PEAK will now expand to engage with younger girls aged 12-16 years old to play basketball after a successful trial for 16 and overs.
Pick-up basketball is a programme through Basketball Scotland which offers a fun and affordable way to 'pay & play' basketball.
Basketball Scotland was recently awarded funding through the Scottish government's Women and Girls fund to deliver more female only basketball sessions for teenagers and adults.
The programme launches on Tuesday October 1, 2019, from 7.00pm-8.30pm at The PEAK and will host two weeks of free taster sessions on October 1 and 8. Thereafter the sessions will run every Tuesday evening for £3 per person.
Any females, aged 12-16 years and would like to get involved, can book in advance on 01786 273555 or head along on the night and book in at The PEAK reception.
