A POWERFUL theatrical performance highlighted the dangers of underage drinking recently at Stirling High School.
The Smashed Project, which seeks to help students explore topics themselves, hosted workshops with interactive, drama-based activities to explode the myths and learn the key facts, uncovering the causes and consequences.
MP Stephen Kerr, who was in attendance, said: “This is an extremely powerful and effective piece of theatre.
“The performances are so well crafted and deliver key messages incredibly well about the harm underage drinking and the abuse of alcohol inflicts.
“Importantly, the event engages with the audience and provokes thoughtful conversations about how they can resist the many pressures there are to start drinking.
“I would encourage all high schools to deliver this as part of their curriculum.”
