STIRLING’S Kings Park will host an afternoon of family fun and entertainment for Armed Forces Day this weekend.
On Saturday, June 29, there will be a jam-packed programme of bands, a parade, music, military displays and a wide range of charities.
It will see Royal Logistic Corps Silver Stars Army Parachute Display Team lead the line from the skies while military bands along with military personnel, vehicles and a wide array of family-oriented fun will entertain the crowds on the ground.
Participants will gather around 11.45am to officially start the parade at 12noon and there will be entertainment until 4pm.
Provost Christine Simpson said: “This event is a wonderful way for Stirling to show its support to the Armed Forces past, present and future and enjoy a fun-packed family day out.
“There will be a parade, displays, music, dancing and lots of interactive events throughout the whole day to keep all the family entertained.
“This year we are also delighted to welcome the Silver Stars to Stirling who I’m sure will delight the crowds.”
