A FORTH VALLEY art gallery has opened a new exhibition featuring the work of the Stirling area.
The Fotheringham Gallery in Bridge of Allan is exhibiting a brand new collection of paintings of the Stirling area by renowned Scottish artist Allison Young.
Allison was brought up in Stirling then studied at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1988 with a first class honours degree. She has been regularly exhibiting her sought after paintings with Fotheringham Gallery since 1998 and has produced this group of paintings of the Stirling area especially for this show.
Gallery owner Claire Fotheringham said: “Allison has been our most successful artist here in Bridge of Allan over the last 2 decades.
“Her new paintings feature many scenes familiar to our local clients including Blair Drummond, Sheriffmuir, the Carse of Lecropt and Ben Ledi. The paintings in this exhibition really are exceptional, some of her best ever pieces.”
The new paintings can be seen in the Fotheringham Gallery which is celebrating 22 successful years in Bridge of Allan or on their extensive website www.fotheringhamgallery.co.uk
