ALLOA High Street will be closed to road traffic tomorrow (Friday, May 3) to safely allow the inaugural Alloa First Friday Market.

The closure will be in place between 7am and 6pm, but nearby Mill Street will remain open.

As reported this week, a range of stalls will be offering various goods in the heart of the town centre as part of the initiative by the business improvement district, formerly known as ATC BID.

The around dozen stallholders are promising fresh produce, arts and crafts as well as gifts as part of a trial between 10am and 4pm.

There will be no stalls on the road itself to allow access for emergency vehicles.

Alloa First said it will do its best to accommodate deliveries for businesses with a walking pace escort.

Traders with any questions before, or with comments afterwards, are asked to email diane@alloafirst.co.uk when they can.

The full line up includes Cedar Cottage Country Foods BBQ, Mr Donut Man, RSPB Scotland, Mix Fruits

Erincroft Bakery, The Damn Fine Cheese Company, Alba Seafood, The Little Bakery, Saltire Candy, Kelso and Titch, Jude's Jewels Jewellery and Gifts, Recycling Timber, Allan's Chilli Products, Tropic Skincare by Gillian, Marcelle House, Salt Pig Sea Salts and The Soap Farm.
