A YOUNG mum was sexually assaulted as she pushed her baby in his pram.

The 22-year-old was with her son on Corselet Road, near to Langford Drive when she was approached by a man who made inappropriate sexual remarks to her before grabbing her and causing her to stumble.

Although she was uninjured in Wednesday afternoon's attack, which happened around 3pm, police said it was "very distressing" for her.

She managed to get away and the man ran off towards the lane leading to Langford Drive, Nitshill, Glasgow.

The suspect is described as being Asian in appearance, aged 20 to 30 years, of slim build, stubble and had a local accent.

He was wearing a khaki raincoat with the hood up, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Mark McLennan, Public Protection Unit, Helen Street Police Station, Govan, said: "Although thankfully not physically injured, this was very distressing for the lady involved and particularly frightening as she was with her young son at the time.

"Officers are currently speaking to residents in the area and checking CCTV in an effort the trace this man. Corselet Road is residential and it’s possible that someone may have either seen or heard the attack take place.
