SCHOOL children were rushed back inside after a body was found on the grounds.

Pupils were outside on their lunch breaks when the man's body was discovered around 12.30pm.

It's understood the man was not a member of school staff and was spotted by workmen in the area.

A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman confirmed youngsters were returned to class early and were not aware of the incident.

Parents have been informed.

A council spokeswoman said: “Police were called to the school after the discovery of a body in a remote part of the school grounds during lunchtime.

"The children were unaware of the incident and taken to class and out of sight of anything going on.”

Officers remain on the scene and the man's death is being treated as unexplained.
