POLICE in the Wee County have begun an investigation after the body of a man was found in a cemetery on Monday afternoon.
The death, which was alerted to authorities at around 2pm yesterday afternoon is currently being treated as unexplained by officers as they now try and work out the circumstances around it.
They have confirmed, however, that the deceased was 47-years-old.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ““Police in Forth Valley are currently investigating the death of a 47-year-old man, who’s body was discovered in the Sauchie Cemetery area of Clackmannanshire shortly before 2pm on Monday 21st January.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
