THE Tullibody Community Development Trust is inviting residents to come along to a consultation on the civic centre next week.

The trust has worked with architects and consultants to come up with a number of options for the future of the civic centre.

The public consultation being held on Tuesday, January 15, will provide an opportunity for everyone to comment on plans and drawing for their preferred option.

Janette McGowan, chair of the TCDT, said: "The trust is pleased and excited to invite everyone in our local community to come and see the options our architects (NRS) and business consultants (Indigo) have developed for the future of the civic centre.

"Will you opt for a complete refurbishment of the centre as it is or the option for a partial refurbishment and partial rebuild or for the complete new centre option?

"It is decision time and we're nearly ready to move forward to the next step of applying for community ownership.

"Our final step will be to have a joint valuation of the centre and playing fields carried out with Clacks Council and complete our business plan."

Janette added that she is sure residents will be more than happy with the options.

She continued: "All the hard work and consultation with the professional design team can be revealed and we're sure everyone will be surprised and delighted with the options on offer.

"Please come along if you can, we really need your input, especially our current and future users and particularly our young people.

"Remember this is for everyone in the local community and we want to ensure everyone has their comments heard."

The consultation will take place next Tuesday between 3pm and 6.30pm at the civic centre.
