AN ALLOA man has been killed after being struck by a car in Bridge of Allan.

Fraser Ross was hit by a Land Rover Defender on Thursday, December 27 at around 11.10pm and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have now confirmed the identity of the 29-year-old who is originally from Alloa.

A Police Scotland statement said: “The 29-year-old was a pedestrian when he was involved in a collision with a Land Rover Defender in Cornton Road at around 11.10pm on Thursday 27th December.

“He sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Inspector Andrew Thomson from the Road Policing Unit in Stirling said: "Our deepest sympathies remain with Fraser's family and our inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

"I would reiterate our appeal for motorists or other members of the public with information that can assist this investigation to contact police immediately."
