STIRLING skater Brodie Sneddon is heading to Sheffield Ice Arena to compete in the British Figure Skating Championships 2018.
The event will be held from Monday, November 26, to Saturday, December 1.
Brodie is one of only 19 girls to qualify for the Novie A competition category, out of more than 250 skaters. This is due to new, higher entry requirements.
The 13-year-old, who trains at The PEAK ice rink in Stirling, said: “I'm very excited for the British Championships as I get to be back on the ice with my new routine.
"I've only had the chance to run it a few times in competition.
"I'm also excited as the British Championship seems like a special occasion especially after the cut in numbers of girls in my competition this year.
"I've got a lot of support from my friends, my family and my coaches over the past few months and I'm happy to finally get back on the ice in Sheffield to do my thing.”
Gemma Chaddock, Brodie's coach and Active Stirling coach, added: “I'm really proud of Brodie and how hard she has worked to get here.
"She has a great work ethic and just loves her skating.”
