A STIRLINGSHIRE team of volunteers dedicated to responding to emergencies has been recognised with a national award.
The Trossachs Search and Rescue Team, based at Balfron Ambulance Station, scooped the Volunteer Award for their passion at the Scottish Health Awards 2018.
For two decades now the team have been supporting emergency services and were also celebrated for providing 10 years of dedicated first responder services in the wider area.
The team picked up their award on an evening where the achievements of NHS staff, support workers, volunteers and specialist teams from across Scotland were celebrated through 17 diverse categories on Thursday, November 1, in Edinburgh.
The awards recognise their significant contribution, hard work and dedication to the delivery of high quality health care throughout Scotland.
David Dick, editor of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail who ran the awards in partnership with NHSScotland and the Scottish Government, said: “Every year across Scotland, thousands of healthcare professionals and volunteers dedicate their lives to providing the best possible care to the people of Scotland.
“Our Scottish Health Awards once again provided us with a chance to recognise and celebrate the hard work and commitment of the teams and individuals, whose contribution often goes unrecognised.”
