DUNBLANE Boys’ Brigade is looking forward to a busy November as all sections resume after the holidays.

On Saturday, November 3, Project Malawi will be hosting its second whisky tasting evening at the Braeport Centre from 7.30pm.

Tickets for the fundraiser are set at £20 and include five drams as well as an expert tour of Scotland’s best malts.

Then the next day, Sunday November 4, the same group will be holding its Soup-and-Sweet lunch at the Cathedral Hall following the morning service at 11.45am.

Both will be raising funds to allow 17 young people to renovate classrooms in Malawi next summer.

A week later, on Saturday November 10, The Boys’ Brigade Band will, in partnership with the Regimental Band of the Black Watch Army Cadet Force, host the Festival of Remembrance Concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One.

It will take place at Dunblane Cathedral from 7pm on the night with free entry and a collection in aid of armed forces charities with support from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust.
