STIRLING MSP Bruce Crawford has called on Scottish Water to assess what can be done to bring about a permanent solution, following reports of yet another burst water main in Crianlarich.
The latest burst main is the fourth such incident in just four months.
Mr Crawford’s calls come as he made enquiries to Scottish Water on behalf of the Crianlarich community following this latest report.
Commenting, Bruce Crawford MSP said:
“I have asked Scottish Water to provide an update on what is being done to fix this burst main as soon as possible, but also to ensure that everything possible is being done so that the community is not left without water.
“This is the fourth occasion of this happening over such a short space of time. I fully understand the frustration that this is bringing to local residents and businesses in Crianlarich.
“As such, I have asked Scottish Water to look into what they can do in the long term to prevent these repeat bursts. Local people have had enough, it’s time to fix the problem.”
