STIRLING based letting agent Martin & Co has recently taken over its Alloa competitor County Rentals - which managed properties throughout Clackmannanshire. 

This means that anyone previously renting from County Rentals will deal with Martin & Co, which now owns their portfolio of houses and flats.

County Rentals has also shut its Alloa office, and staff previously working there have been transferred to Martin & Co's Stirling Office.

Martin & Co's managing director Imtiaz Ahmed said: “County Rentals were one of the biggest players in the Alloa market and although we had a presence there, we certainly weren’t the biggest so this acquisition has now provided us with a stronger foothold in that town, which is one of the biggest in central Scotland.

“Obviously County Rentals’ doors have now closed but under the Martin & Co brand we are still very much trading in Alloa as well as Stirling.

“Landlords and tenants in Alloa will now benefit from Martin & Co’s advanced marketing technology and our experienced team, which has now expanded to 12 people with three coming in from County Rentals.

“We couldn’t be happier to be expanding into Alloa and look forward to providing a great service to landlords and tenants in the town, as we do currently in Stirling.”
