MURDER cops have launched a probe after a man was stabbed to death in Wishaw.
Force detectives have sealed off two streets in the North Lanarkshire town following a fight at a house in Morar Street. Another area at Greenhead Road was also cordoned off as part of the investigation.
The 52-year-old victim was rushed to University Hospital Wishaw shortly after 12.30am on Monday, but could not be saved.

It is understood he was stabbed.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 12.30am on Sunday, October 14, a 52-year-old man was seriously injured following a disturbance outside a house in Morar Street, Wishaw.

“He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Wishaw where he later died.
“A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish the cause of death which at this time police are treating as suspicious. "Enquires are ongoing."
The spokeswoman added: “Police are in attendance at Greenhead Road as part of an going enquiry.”
