AN ART project is set to light up windows around Mercat Cross in Stirling to form an outdoor gallery.

The Window Wanderland art trail will illuminate the neighbourhood between November 10 and 11 with houses and shops sought taking part.

Anyone looking to join the event, which originates from Bristol and started three years ago, is asked to sign up here.

Lucy Reeves Khan, the founder of the initiative, came up with the idea after an accident left her disabled.

She said: “I began taking rehabilitative walks at night and found that the light coming from inside people’s houses made me feel better, less alone and left me feeling uplifted.

“These walks gave me the idea that everyone’s windows could become galleries of expression and so Window Wanderland was born."

People looking to run their own Window Wanderland in their communities can email admin@windowwanderland.com to get in touch.
